In a royal letter of April 1705, it was decided that all artillery pieces conquered as trophies by the Swedish army were to be depicted before being melted down or re-cast. The plays were depicted in the early 17th century by the siblings Anna Maria and Philip Jakob Thelott. Most depictions are not signed and it is therefore difficult to determine who of the siblings performed them. The depictions were originally kept at the Royal College of War but were tied in 1746, on behalf of the master of cloth Thomas Cunninghame, into three bands with cartusques executed by Cunninghame himself.
